Free databases and search engines

During your studies at MDU you have access to a number of licence funded databases. However as a private individual you will not be able to access these anymore. Instead there are databases which are free to use.

Here are some freely accessible databases and search engines from which you may benefit.

Multidisciplinary. LIBRIS is a search service providing information about published literature held at Swedish university and research libraries. (For English headings Click IN ENGLISH.).

Search engine for scholarly articles, theses, books etc. Full text linking via this URL. Multidisciplinary.

Let new research come to you through alerts

In many databases and search services, you may use the alerts function to get an update when new research has been conducted in a certain area. You tailor the alert by entering a specific search query into the database.
