Open access to research results

Most scholarly scientific journals require expensive subscriptions to allow you to read their content. However, an increasing number of journals are what is known as "open access". These are journals which publish their articles for free on the Internet completely or partially. Sweden aims to increase the number of research articles which are published "open access", based on the idea that research results produced with the help of public funds should be available to society without obstacles. This is in the context of the global work with open science, which you can read more about further down the page.

In Primo, the library's search tool, you can use the filter "Open access" to get hits that are freely accessible.

Below you will find more tips on resources for finding freely accessible research articles.
